Extra patient care

Back in my nursing days, I worked at a hospital which shall remain nameless.  At one point, we were privileged to have a wealthy young prince from the Middle East as a patient.  We suspected that his money came from oil, and that he had decided he could get more expert medical care in the U.S. than back home.

One of my nurse coworkers, I’ll call her Desiree, was assigned to the prince.  She was quick to tell me about a little discovery she had made in the course of her caring for him.  Apparently the prince was endowed with princely-sized ‘member!’  She could not believe her eyes, and became somewhat obsessed with the possibilities for his gift.

Of course, there was nothing she could do about it.  At least, not in the hospital.  But there was a policy that non-critical patients could be signed out of the hospital on weekends to the care of a responsible party.  So one weekend, with the prince’s permission, guess who signed him out to her apartment for some private nursing care?  I couldn’t believe it.

On Monday morning, Desiree wheeled the prince back into the hospital.  I didn’t have to ask her how the weekend went.  She had a big smile on her face. And so did the prince.
